“Thought Provoking Dystopia” is the brand image put together for this project. Through my work at B-Hive Printing, where I am currently a graphic designer, and a very generous high school theatre director, I was given the opportunity to design the show logo and primary art. I took that permission and ran with it. My primary work can be seen on the 11x17 Poster and 16:9 Widescreen Graphics with the “The Giver” emblem and consistent messaging to the audiences attending the show and visiting BHS Thespian Troupe’s social media. And yes, that is also me as The Giver onstage in the 16:9 graphics, I was on triple duty for this show!

LIFE IN GRAYSCALE

As part of the roots of BHS Thespian Troupe #950, our director wanted to pick the play and the musical to fit into a certain season theme. The 2022-2023 season was titled “Life in Grayscale” which consisted of The Giver & The Addams Family. To hint at both the story of The Giver as well as the dark red, ominous vibe in The Addams Family, I created this graphic for our social medias to push our season theme with the subtle red peaking through the predominantly grayscale image.
